Life drawing and painting, introduction to the "green earth technique" in portrait and model painting, an old technique especially used to get lively flesh tones. Starting with an underpainting in green earth colour (mixed only with white and black for different shades of green) the painting is then completed using thin layers of transparent earth colours (we used ochre, burnt sienna, raw ombre). Unfortunately time was too short to actually finish them, but the results give an impression of what can be achieved with this technique. Acrylic on paper.
