A few weeks later I was pleasantly surprised to find that my sketch of Joseph Roth was used for the New Year's wish of the Joseph Roth Society Netherlands-Flanders on Facebook!

We wensen u een 2016 met veel nieuwe Roth-ontdekkingen. Wilt u lid worden van het JRG? Contacteer ons! Met dank voor het portret aan Rodney van den Beemd.

Tony - Abandon (Tony Martin)

Portrait study of Tony Martin.

Each year I enjoy watching the Tour the France, it's like an armchair holiday in France. The day after Tony Martin fell, broke his collarbone and had to abandon this year's Tour, I did this quick portrat study of him. An unfinished portrait for an unfinished Tour.

Hubbard Street 2 Diptych - Just Dance!

I was pleasantly surprised that Hubbard Street Dance Company used one of my sketches, paired up in a dyptich, for their announcement on Facebook of their European tour. On the left, Todd Rosenberg Photography’s image of Hubbard Street 2 Dancers Jules Joseph and Katie Kozulmy in action. On the right my sketch inspired by the photo as described in a previous post.

Many thanks to artist Rodney van den Beemd for sharing his sketch at right, made with ink on paper applied with a twig...
