A Christmas Toast

With lots of snowfall the last few days in South Limburg, we're having a White Christmas this year. This photo was freshly taken this morning in the backyard in a snow covered Landgraaf. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Vrolijk Kerstfeest en een Gelukkig Nieuwjaar!

Life drawing and painting, focused on roughly painting in a large format (100 cm x 70 cm) capturing the light and dark with a spalter brush in black and white and grey tones. Acrylic on paper. The first rough watery sketch rather appealed to me, so I decided to just leave it as it is and made a second version for adding more paint.
